From Friends & Colleagues

NEW YORK, NY, March 17 2004-- Hazan hopes the new site – built with the donated time and resources of his biggest supporters - will score him a spot as a contestant on Season Two of the NBC hit show "The Apprentice."
"It's not enough to simply send in a tape," Hazan said. "You've got to demonstrate ambition and perseverance - really putting yourself out there and taking a creative risk.
"I turned to my close friends, family and colleagues for help with creating a personal promotion website and an audition video," he added "I am enormously grateful for everyone's generosity and support."
The previously unknown "Committee to get Jaime Hazan on the Apprentice" is banking on the viral nature of the Web to spread their message. Among the site's features:
·
Free video clips of Jaime's audition tape in Microsoft's Windows Media Format and Apple's Quicktime (streaming services donated by Michael Imbruce of Convergent Network Services);
·
A moderated "Blog", which allows users to post their thoughts directly to the site;
·
An anecdotal real-time "Hair Poll For Men", allowing users to vote on which power-broker hairstyle works best in business, Donald Trump's well-groomed hair or Jaime's bald head?
·
Individual pictures of the Jaime's Team.
"We built a website that will help Jaime get his message around the world" said Mike Wu, the team's resident "Web Guy." But it was Mitch Lemus, a Creative Director at a major New York City ad agency, who conceived the idea with Hazan.
"It feels like we're involved in a run for public office, but we don't want your votes," Lemus said. "We want your links to our web site and your help building awareness around Jaime as a potential contestant."
Additional Web production team members consisted of Christopher Wenham, a systems integrator/database expert with art director credit, being shared by James P. Kimak and Hazan himself.
"We told Jaime's story as creatively and accurately as possible," said Kimak, a force behind the audition video who helped keep the message concise and on target.
Jaime's Ithaca College roommate, Thomas Arundel, a Washington D.C.-based Web site traffic analyst, added: "Jaime is the perfect candidate for this show, so I was glad to lend my resources to the team."
The video was edited at NY Interactive's post-production facility in Long Island City, Queens.
Jaime will be waiting on line for a wristband at the open auditions this week on Thursday, March 18th at 40 Wall Street (enter on Pine), NY, NY 10005, at 7:00am
