Ambitious Student Creates Promotion Stunt in New York with Donald Trump


New York, NY September 11, 2004 -- Following the session at the conference Hutcheson met NBC President John Miller and other executives backstage. Hutcheson was able to make invaluable contacts with numerous executives. By appearing in a story and photo with Donald Trump in TV Week, Hutcheson became the highlight story and the face of the convention. Other convention attendees sought out Hutcheson for his card and admired his style. This was one promotion that would be remembered for quite some time. Donald Trump himself said, "This kid is going to be successful."

Hutcheson is a senior business administration major and marketing minor at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He also works at Entertainment Marketing Partners in Los Angeles with producer and promotion guru Mark Stroman.
